Managed to find a place selling dry bags, a diy store of all places. No cycle shops selling just shorts rather than bib shorts so ending up find some in Sport 24, but did get some brake pads from a cycle shop.

Day 26 – Feeling the effort from yesterday
First thing first, cashpoint then a shop.
Started heading towards another site from the shelter app, legs feeling the effects of the push yesterday so looked around for campsite. 1st one was another of those nonbasic sites from the shelter app, 2nd one was on the gps but was a picnic table and bench so ended up at city campsite at Aabenraa. Spending two nights so can look around a bit, and try to find a new dry bag to replace one where the clip has broke, and a pair of cycling shorts as the weather is continuing to be sunny and warm.
Day 25 – into Denmark
Pushed on a bit (for me anyway) and made it into Denmark. Using the Shelter app on the phone for a place to camp. 1st one no water tap/pump, 2nd one was not one of the basic campsites, 3rd one had a tap but it wasn’t working. Gave in and just had enough water to get through to the next day, the fire pit was handy and a nice little campfire made the evening better.
Day 24 – Sunday Market
Day 23 – Maps get out of date
Day 22 – Bad is not Bad
To people from the UK some of the place names in other countries can be a bit strange. Stop at a campsite at Bad Bramstedt, Bad must mean something different in German.
Day 21 – Wander around Hamburg
Well just my luck, plenty to do as it the start of the Hamburg Port festival. This means no shopping for more food or brake pads as the only things that appear open are bars and cafes.
Ah well, at the least the festival had lots going on.
Day 20 – Made it to Hamburg
Day 19 – Installing Spring
Saw this outside a creative cafe, thought it very appropriate today as the temperature is having trouble hitting double figures and it’s raining again.
At the campsite tonight a couple of cycle tourists from Australia also turned up. Having two people certainly seems to help with the luggage distribution.
Day 18 – Grass everywhere
Yeah no rain, and the temperature got up 22C. Must remember the sun, arms just a little sensitive tonight.
Camping spot had the grass cut, bits of it getting all over the place.
